Halloween Time Dates
This year, Halloween Time kicked off September 6, 2019. It typically begins early-to-mid-September each year, and concludes on October 31, 2019. That gives you nearly two full months to enjoy Halloween Time in Disneyland Resort!
Halloween Time Festivities
Both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park get decked out for Halloween Time. You’ll find family-friendly Halloween decor including jack-o-lanterns, Oogie Boogie, bats and Dia de los Muertos altars. Here’s a look at what you can expect in each Park during your Halloween Time vacation:
Disneyland Park
Costumed Disney Characters: Meet and greet some of your favorite Disney friends in their Halloween costumes. Use the official Disneyland app to locate Mickey, Minnie, Chip & Dale, Winnie the Pooh and more in their seasonal best attire.
Main Street, U.S.A. Pumpkin Festival: Take a stroll down Main Street and try not to get spooked by all the pumpkin eyes looking back at you.
Haunted Mansion: In New Orleans Square, you can tour the Haunted Mansion with its Halloween Time overlay. Catch sight of Jack the Pumpkin King, his dog Zero and his pal Sally as you make your way through the Mansion.
Disney Villains Dance Party: Head to Tomorrowland on select nights to party with a number of Villains. Join Captain Hook and Smee, Lady Tremaine, Anastasia, Drisella, the Evil Queen, Maleficent and the Queen of Hearts. Hyperspace Mountain Overlay: Through Halloween Time, Space Mountain will continue to offer its Star Wars Hyperspace overlay for guests.
Dia de los Muertos: In Frontierland you’ll find a celebration of the dead with colorful decor including banners, flowers and skeleton figurines. El Zócalo Park also offers music and a taste of Mexico in Rancho del Zócalo Restaurante.
That’s Lola with Minnie Mouse, can you believe it?!

Radiator Screams: Cars Land gives the little town of Radiator Springs a makeover for Halloween Time. Decor and costumed Cars greet guests and two rides boast temporary overlays.
Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween: The Italian cars at Luigi’s will dance and spin to Halloween-themed music, while seasonal decor adorns the attraction.
Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree: Hop aboard one of Mater’s tractors as they zig and zag to Halloween tunes.
Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters after Dark: In the evenings, join Rocket the Racoon on his mission to save Groot from the monsters running loose in the Collector’s Fortress. During the day, the ride offers its traditional experience; it only transforms at night during Halloween Time.
Plaza de la Familia: Head to Paradise Gardens Park to celebrate Dia de los Muertos with the cast of Coco. Life-size puppets, music and dancing will fill the streets to honor the dead during Halloween Time. There are also free crafts and photo walls.

Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party
New as of 2019 is Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party. Hosted by Oogie Boogie, it is a separately-ticketed event on select nights during Halloween Time. Guests are granted admission to Disney California Adventure Park as early as 2pm on Oogie Boogie Bash nights, offering up to 9 hours to enjoy the Park, including the Halloween Party from 6 – 11pm. Look for the following activities and more during Oogie Boogie Bash:
Villainous!: A temporary party overlay for World of Color, you can enjoy the spectacular projection show in a whole new light. Follow along as one little girl tries to decide whether she should dress as a villain or a princess for Halloween.
Villains Grove: Walk through a completely transformed Redwood Creek Challenge Trail. Spooky lights, smoke, sounds and more change the feel of the Trail completely during the Oogie Boogie Bash. Lookout for villains such as Frollo, Scar, Dr. Facilier and The Queen.
Frightfully Fun Parade: Led by the Headless Horseman, the parade also includes Mickey and his pals, the Cheshire Cat and boo-tiful Halloween-themed floats.
My girls are obsessed with Descendents 3 at the moment, so they’d want to attend the DescenDANCE Party: In the Hollywoodland Back Lot, you can move and groove with the cast of the hit series Descendants. Enjoy music from the show and interact with many of your favorite characters.
Mickey’s Trick & Treat Show: Catch a live show in Disney Theater, enjoying family-friendly Halloween tales told by Mickey and friends.
Halloween Time Food
It wouldn’t be a Disney trip without the food! Without fail, Disney delivers when it comes to frightfully fantastic Halloween Time food. You can enjoy specialty churro flavors, artfully decorated caramel apples and hauntingly-shaped treats such as bat cookies and more.
