This chocolate cake is magical. It has no eggs and an unusual ingredient: vinegar! You don't even taste the vinegar, and it makes a beautiful, moist cake every time. The frosting is a delectable brown sugar frosting made on the stovetop and poured on while the cake is warm out of the oven.
For the cake - mix all ingredients together until smooth and pour into a greased 9 x 13 pan (or 24 muffin tins). Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
For the frosting - over medium heat, combine the brown sugar, butter, and milk in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Cool slightly and add about one box of powdered sugar. Mix with a wire whisk until desired consistency. Add more milk if it becomes too thick.
Remove cake from oven and pour frosting over the top, spreading evenly with a knife. We like our cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!
