Back to School with Box Tops For Education at Costco!

It’s almost time to go back to school! We love anything that we can do to help our local schools, so when we heard about the Box Tops Inspire Imagination Contest at Costco, we had to go grab some of our favorite General Mills items with Box Tops on them!

Box Tops History

We have been a Box Tops family ever since I can remember. That’s probably because my mom is a teacher! As kids, we would check every box before putting it in the recycle bin to make sure we cut the box top off. Box Tops for Education was started in California in 1996 by General Mills. They wanted a way to give back to schools. I’ve been clipping box tops since I was in 6th grade!

With my girls, we love to hunt down box tops and cut them out. We also make sure that everything is fair and separate them into two baggies. The girls’ classes get points and rewards for the classrooms with the most box tops, so it encourages and motivates them to collect Box Tops.

We love how many of the products we love have Box Tops for Education on them! Honey Nut Cheerios, Cheerios, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Nature Made granola bars, GoGurts, and Nature Valley Sweet and Salty granola bars. There are even more products that have them, but these are just some that we found on our most recent Costco Box Tops hunt!
