This month, Matt and I have been doing a Summer Shred. It entails eating clean and working out. After two weeks, we have lost 18 lbs. combined! I did a Shred before I went to Paris in 2013 and was looking at pictures and loved how I looked and felt. So I signed up for another one (my friend Bobbi runs them – she’s amazing) and am loving it! The first few days are rough, breaking the sugar and snacking habits, but after that you start to feel so much better.
When eating healthy and clean, meal prep and washing dishes can become exhausting. It’s nice to be able to eat out when you’re on the go or just need a break from being in the kitchen. The trouble is finding a healthy option while looking for fast food restaurants! With the fresh salads at Wendy’s, you are covered. I tried the BBQ Ranch Chicken Salad and it was perfect! I really like how the chicken breast is grilled when you order the salad, so you’re not biting into a cold piece of chicken that has been in a fridge for who-knows-how-long.
As a parent, I like that you have healthier options with apples and apple juice in the kids’ meals as well. Lola is a happy camper too!
You can order the half portion of the salad which was more than enough to fill me up; and the Simply Dressed® BBQ Ranch salad dressing is so flavorful that I only used a little bit and was satisfied. Check out Wendy’s “Romaine Lettuce Journey” video here for a look at how their lettuce gets from farm to restaurant. They used actual employees and now I majorly want a giant lettuce chopper in my kitchen :)
